Account Manager – Architecture and Design
Reports to: General Manager
Works with: Inside/Outside Sales Teams, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Order Desk, Customers, Partners, Suppliers, and Industry Associations

As a result of our consistent growth and success, we are looking for a skilled, hands-on Sales Representative to focus on the Architecture and Design industry.
The Opportunity: The Sales Representative is responsible for planning and implementing an aggressive yet attainable sales plan. Your prospective clients include but are not limited to Architects, Interior Design Groups, Real Estate Developers, Consulting Engineers, and Design Build Contractors.
Sales Planning and Execution • Develop and implement a targeted sales strategy and plan • Proactively search for and acquire new clients • Coordinate the sales effort with management and the technical service groups • Develop long-term relationships with clients and work to satisfy their needs • Proactively seek out promotional opportunities for company products and services • Assist with tile and stone design specifications
Product Awareness and Relationship Building • Organize and/or host product demonstrations, training events and “lunch and learns” • Be informed on new product and service offerings • Research options and request quotes from manufacturers for client projects • Build and maintain long-term positive relationships with manufacturers and suppliers • Work with manufacturers to identify end customers and sales opportunities • Support sales and marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
Your Talent:
Experience, Skills and Traits • 2 to 6 years of experience of successful sales experience – ideally in the building material industry • Patience, confidence and competitiveness – closing sales takes time, persistence and an inherent desire to win • Able to build sound and lasting relationships • Trustworthy – your word is your bond, period • An ability to work independently and self-manage • An aptitude for understanding complex technical concepts • Tech savvy – able to leverage technology to better plan and achieve sales goals • Strategic planner who gets stuff done…really, really well • Respectful and sincere team player
Education and Knowledge • Business degree OR equivalent industry experience • LEED and other industry accreditations are assets • Familiarity with latest codes and building regulations for code compliance • Must have a driver’s license and be able to travel occasion
