March Board Meeting in Calgary

We recently hosted our Spring Board Meeting in Calgary, Alberta, on March 5th.
We welcomed back Max Poulin from Robertson Floors, as a Director-at-Large, to work with our Training & Education Committee. Max previously helped to create our CCTI Program, and is excited to begin working with us again.
Our Board of Directors are working hard to continue to improve and update all aspects of the association to ensure we are supporting our members as best as possible!

Ontario Moves to Build Faster, and
Support the Housing Market

The Government of Ontario has introduced legislation to speed up housing development and transit projects by streamlining approvals, reducing red tape, and improving coordination on construction timelines. At the same time, new buyer incentives, such as HST relief on new homes, are helping unlock stalled projects and stimulate demand.
For TTMAC members, these initiatives signal a period of increased activity across residential and infrastructure projects in Ontario. More housing starts mean greater opportunities for skilled trades, particularly in tile, stone, terrazzo, and other hard surface installations. With tighter timelines and higher project volume, the focus on quality, durability, and proper workmanship is more important than ever, highlighting the value of TTMAC’s standards, training, and industry advocacy.
